Embracing the change.

Corrie is an artist who struggles to settle into one category. If you ask what her favorite season is she will tell you it’s when they change, and this seems to follow in her creative interests and explorations.

 

Trained in Fine Art with emphasis on painting and ceramics, Corrie fell into a graphic design job during her final year of college. This led to years of freelance designing a wide variety of print materials while her husband rounded up a few degrees. Along the way she continued fine art pursuits, attending workshops and classes, teaching private art lessons, taking commissioned work, and squeezing in her own art here and there.

 

During one of those years Corrie and her husband bought a house of their very own, and she discovered incredible enthusiasm for designing and decorating interiors. She loves helping people love their homes, and especially loves to work with existing home décor wherever possible (read: save that $$!) to make spaces more functional and cohesive.

 

All of this has been brought under the umbrella of Artworks by Corrie. She loves to bring illustrative imagery to words and ideas with her fine art, breathe new life into tired living spaces, and design fresh looks for individuals and businesses alike. Could she bake you a beautiful, delicious cake or arrange flowers into a lively centerpiece? She could, but that’s not going on the website ;).

 

Corrie’s creative world is regularly colored by the chaos and messes left in the wake of her four boys, who sometimes remember to clean up after themselves. Corrie and her family (including two of the canine variety) reside in a quiet town in southern Michigan trying to make the most of the days they’ve been given.
