O My Soul

I have always loved Psalm 103 and decided I'd like to try illustrating part of it. This is my interpretation of the opening verse: "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!"

I intentionally gave O My Soul a title that anyone could approach and engage with, regardless of their beliefs, and it has led to some wonderful conversations at the art fairs I've participated in. While I certainly have my own thoughts and reasons behind the imagery, one of my favorite parts of sharing this piece is hearing what others see in it and what it makes them think about.
