O My Soul (First in a series)
This painting is the first in a series I am slowly working on. I have always loved Psalm 103 and decided a while back that I'd like to try to illustrate it. This is my interpretation of the first verse, "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!"
I intentionally gave it a name that anyone could walk up to and engage with, regardless of beliefs, and have had some wonderful conversations about it at the fairs I've done this year. I, of course, have lots of thoughts and reasons about why I did what I did, but I love hearing how other people see it and what it makes them think of.
The original is not yet for sale, as I would like to release the full series at once for purchase. However, I do have prints available in two sizes. The print size shown is 11x14 (8x10s are currently sold out and should be restocked within the next month), but the 8x10s look the same at a smaller size.
